Tellico Village Fact Sheet

The 16,000-acre Tellico Lake and the distant Smoky Mountains provide a stunning backdrop for this planned community located 31 miles south of Knoxville, Tennessee. Founded in 1986, Tellico Village's natural beauty, world-class amenities and friendly people have attracted owners from around the world.

Location
Tellico Village offers the perfect address for living! We're ideally located on the western shore of Tellico Lake, just southwest of Knoxville, Tennessee. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and other fun destinations are within 50 miles. Sixteen states, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic shoreline are within 500 miles of Tellico Village. Tellico Village is just 12.2 miles from I-75, exit 81.

Property Owners Association Facilities
Tellico Village is a private community and does not rely on local, state or federal funding for operations. Governmental duties are entrusted to the Tellico Village Property Owners Association (POA), a non-profit corporation that is funded through a monthly assessment paid by the property owners. Tellico Village's roads, amenities, water and sewer system are maintained by the POA.

Golf
 Hole #14 at Toqua

Golfers can tee it up on three of east Tennessee's finest courses. All courses were designed by the prestigious golf course architectural firm of Ault, Clark and Associates of Kensington, Maryland.

The Toqua Championship Golf Course, opened in 1987, features four tees ranging from 6,910 yards to 5,230 yards. Tellico Lake is visible from many parts of this par 72 course, and the lake comes into play on holes 3, 14 and 15.

The Tanasi Golf Course, opened in 1996, also incorporates the lake into the course design. Holes 1, 17 and 18 play over the water, offering some of the most scenic--and challenging--holes on the course. This championship course has four sets of tees that play from 6,731 yards to 5,044 yards.

Club Facilities
Three clubhouses and our Yacht and Country Club are the gathering places for dining, bridge games and impromptu get-togethers with friends.

Tellico Yacht & Country Club is the social center of the Village and offers dining overlooking Tellico Lake.  Arrive by land or water and enjoy casual dining.  Diners often end their evening with a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk.  The Yacht Club is a popular meeting and group activity facility, and its design and location along the water's edge is representative of the lifestyle enjoyed in Tellico Village.

Toqua Clubhouse is popular with golfers and all villagers looking for casual dining or a place to join friends for a drink.  Seating is available inside or on a spacious veranda overlooking the Toqua course.  Golfers enjoy a well-equipped pro shop, along with an adjoining driving range and practice putting green.

Tanasi Clubhouse is known for its spectacular views of the Tanasi course and Tellico lake.  Generous use of glass and a large, wrap around portico invite you to kick back, relax and enjoy the surroundings.  Tanasi also provides a well-equipped pro shop and food service.  Outside you'll find a large practice putting facility featuring 18 holes.

Kahite Clubhouse offers a breathtaking view of the Kahite golf course and Smoky Mountains.  From the veranda, you can view the driving range, practice putting green, swimming pool, tennis courts and golf course.

Recreational Facilities
The Wellness Center is the fitness headquarters for the Village.  This 27,000 square-foot facility includes an indoor saline pool, therapy pool, indoor walking track, weight and exercise rooms, saunas and locker rooms and meeting rooms.  Outside there will soon be two soft-surfaced tennis courts.  The center is located in the highest point in the Village, and outside seating offers nice views of the lake and distant mountains.
